STORY

Hinto is a brand of handmade ceramic items created in limited editions with application of a pottery wheel.

Since the artisan initiates his work impulsively, the final result would be impulsive as well and there is a possibility of change in creation. She may end up with a vase in short height and a circle-like shape, or she may determine to extend the height of the vase to reach a cylindrical shape. This process may be clear for her from the beginning in the use of the product she makes, but the final form is unpredicted. Therefore, in designing Hinto’s visual identity, we try to identify ourselves as the artist, to immerse in her mind set.

Hinto’s visual identity is designed in two parts. We designed a fixed part of the first letter of the name Hinto and completed the second part of variable shapes that combine with the design of the letter H. In expanding the visual identity, the main idea remained as above mentioned, for instance, the icons and other parts were designed in such a way that some of these forms convey a sense of incompleteness. Any individual audience has her own image impacted by the visual identity we present.
